3. Does SymetriQ run on a redundant network?
Yes. From the data centre racks all the way into the public internet, our network is fully redundant.
4. What maximum number of compute resources and storage can I request at once?
By default we limit users to 5Gb of RAM and 25Gb of storage space. This limit can be removed on request.
5. Is my data located in a secure and well protected data centre?
Yes. Our data centre complies with the sought after ISO27001 (former ISO17799 or BS7799) and ISO9001 standards.
6. Is the SymetriQ infrastructure hosted with the UK/EU?
Yes. The SymetriQ data centre is located within the London area.
1. What RAM options do you offer?
You can configure servers with between 256Mb and 4Gb of RAM. We are planning to be able to offer up to 8Gb from end Q1 2010.
2. Can I configure multiple virtual CPUs?
Not yet. We are planning to offer up to 4 vCPUs from end Q1 2010.
3. Do you support cloning?
Not yet. We will be offering cloning of virtual servers and entire virtual data centres in Q1 2010.
4. Do I need to modify my application to run it in your cloud?
No. We support all common operating systems including Windows, common Linux distributions and OpenSolaris. You can also install virtual servers from your own ISO installer disk images.
5. Is there an API to control and manage my services?
Yes. There is a API accessible over XML-RPC or REST allowing control from all commonly used languages.
6. Do you provide fast storage I/O?
Yes. Our primary storage is based around a high performance Sun storage devices combined with the highly acclaimed ZFS filesystem. The connectivity between the physical servers and the storage is over extremely fast, low latency Infiniband links.

You data is persistent and is only ever deleted should you delete the server or the virtual data centre containing it.

We charge only £1 as a signup fee and then offer free use of the platform for 15 days. After that you will pay for your usage on a pay as you go basis.

You can pay credit into your account using all common credit and debit cards. For larger customers we will offer purchase order based invoicing.
